The Sentinel Bollard, for example, is often ordered in low quantity batches with a custom colored light lens so that a company can translate their cohesive brand look throughout their campus, which makes manufacturing a huge challenge.

In addition to below-minimum quantity orders and frequent color changes, this piece is difficult to mold. Because of it’s thick side walls and structural inserts, it would take an enormous investment to make hard tooling for a part like this.
